Seminar Series: Procurement & Decision-Making (9:00AM - 1:00PM)
EPM Training Services Half Day Seminar Series presents two seminars for our valued clients who have requested a regular dose of practical tips and tricks for real-life project management.

These highly interactive seminars are facilitated by experienced project consultants who have many years of project management and leadership experience.

Each seminar will reward you with 4 Professional Development Units (PDU's).

This is also an opportunity to re-evaluate your training needs and catch up with old connections, while making lots of new ones.  This is an opportunity you definitely won’t want to miss!

Session 1:

“CONTRACT MANAGEMENT:  Good Practices for Managing Vendor Relationships”

With Peter James Gilliland, PMP

Friday, 24 September 2010, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Most projects involve the use of formal contracts to define the relationship between parties involved in getting the project work done. This informative seminar will introduce you to key concepts, terms and principles of procurement contract administration, aligned with good practices as described in the Project Management Institute’s Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide).

Learn what you must do to ensure you have an enforceable contract, how to interpret contract clauses, terms and conditions, legal language, and what to do in the event of a dispute; all with reference to real-life case studies.

Session 2:

“DECISION MAKING: Good Practices for making project decisions”

 With Arena Ang, PMP

Monday, 01 November 2010, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Project managers frequently have to make project decisions.  Solving problems requires the ability to define the true problem, analyze possible solutions, create options, make a decision and select the most feasible option and then implement it. This interactive seminar will show you new ways to approach problem solving to reach win-win decisions, aligned with good practices as described in the Project Management Institute’s Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide).
